You won’t need a tax form listing your IRA contributions in order to file your taxes. That’s because you have until April 18 to contribute to your IRA for the 2023 tax year. Instead, Goldman Sachs Custody Solutions will report your contributions for you.
If you made IRA contributions in 2023, you’ll receive a Form 5498 for your records by May 31, 2023. Direct transfers or rollovers into your IRA will not be reported, per IRS requirements.
As the IRS website says, all SEP IRA contributions count toward the year in which they’re received. You don't need to inform us which tax year each contribution is meant for; you’ll track this for your records within your own accounting system / when you file your taxes.
