Your security is our primary concern, so we take every measure to verify that you are you! If all of your information is accurate, we typically verify and approve accounts on the same day.
If there is a delay, it may be because there is missing information. Ellevest is subject to regulatory oversight by FINRA, the SEC, and the IRS, so even the slightest inconsistency can delay registration.
As soon as we know what additional information is needed, we'll send you an alert. Please check the email you provided during registration, or look for an in-app alert, and we’ll walk you through a few steps for verification.
If it’s been longer than 5 business days since you’ve uploaded your verification documents and your account is still under review, contact the Client Support team so we can make sure we’ve got everything we need.
If you're a new Ellevest client and it's been longer than 2 business days since you've attempted to link your external bank account, please upload:
- Images of your driver's license or other valid government-issued photo ID (front and back images)
- A selfie of yourself holding the ID
- Bank statement (60 days worth of bank statements with all pages included, PDF only)
If you're an existing client and it's been longer than 2 days since you've attempted to update your linked bank account, please upload 60 days worth of bank statements (all pages included, PDF only).
