Each of your investment goals has its own portfolio. You can adjust a goal’s portfolio in two ways: by changing its risk level, or by switching between an Ellevest Impact Portfolio or “core” (non-impact) portfolio.
To make either of these changes, select your goal from the dashboard. Scroll down to the “What am I invested in?” section of the page.
To adjust the risk level for one of your goals, click on the edit icon below “Risk Level” and follow the prompts. If you want, you can make your portfolio slightly more aggressive or conservative. Please note that changing your portfolio’s risk could cause a rebalance and capital gains tax.
To switch between an Ellevest Impact Portfolio or “core” (non-impact) portfolio, click on the edit icon below “Impact Portfolio” and follow the prompts. You can toggle this preference on or off, and you’ll be brought to a new page to confirm this change.
Right now, you can’t choose individual investments to include or exclude in your portfolio. Your portfolio was thoughtfully constructed by our Chief Investment Officer, Dr. Sylvia Kwan, in collaboration with Morningstar, Inc., to help you achieve your goal within your desired timeline. It’s composed of carefully vetted investments that were combined in a way intended to reduce costs and risk through diversification. Check out this video to learn more.
