Ellevest is only available for people living in the contiguous U.S. (as well as in Alaska and Hawaii), have a Social Security number, and a checking or savings account with a US bank.
That’s because the financial laws and regulations vary depending on the country where a person lives, and we can only provide investment advice to clients who fall under the United States’ jurisdiction.
More specifically, in order to use Ellevest services, you must be 18 or over and be a U.S. person, which includes a U.S. resident alien, have a valid U.S. residential mailing address and have a valid U.S. taxpayer identification number (or social security number). We do not offer our services outside of the U.S.
You can learn more about eligibility here.
At this time we don’t have any sister companies overseas and aren’t able to make recommendations for platforms similar to Ellevest for those living outside the US.
Also important to note: While we welcome everyone to subscribe to our newsletter and read our online Magazine, the info we provide there is specific to the US and might not be appropriate for people who live in other countries.
