IRA contribution deadlines

If you’re making a 2023 Ellevest IRA contribution via ACH transfer, you have until April 9 (6 days before the April 15 IRS deadline).

If you need to contribute via check, you can mail your check directly to our custodian, Goldman Sachs Custody Solutions, formerly Folio. The check has to be postmarked by April 15 in order to be processed as a 2023 contribution. Please make the check payable to Folio Investments FBO [Your Name].

In the memo line on the check, please note the following:

• The contribution tax year: For example, "2023 contribution"
• Your IRA account number
• You can mail the check to Folio at the following address:

You can also contribute via wire transfer. ​​You can find the wire instructions for your investment accounts from a desktop or laptop computer by clicking on Transfer Money at the top of your dashboard and selecting transfer external account. You can then select wire transfer to view the instructions.

Please note: All wires / EFT deposits sent from your bank will post in the year received, and the IRS requires deposits for IRA contributions to be made by the deadline they set. That means we can’t guarantee that your wire will be deposited in time before the deadline. To ensure your contribution is counted toward the 2023 tax year, we recommend sending a check to our custodian Folio, postmarked by April 15, instead.
